Whitianga Scallop Festival is one of the most popular seafood events in New Zealand - with over 60 food and wine stands.
Once there you will be tucking into scallop fritters, grilled crayfish, scallops sautéed in garlic butter or tempura scallops with dill, lime and coriander sauce, to name a few. The popular Fog Dog Beer Battered Scallop Kebabs are a must try as well!
Apart form the tasty food on offer there will also be live music, a classic photobooth and much more.

The Whitianga Scallop Festival is held inside a purpose-built village of marquees over one day overlooking the picturesque Whitianga Harbour, with local venues and cafés staging a programme of events and theme nights leading upto the festival.
